Concert Does Not Impact Caps

The Washington Post wrote that the two upcoming Taylor Swift concerts at Verizon Center, scheduled for May 11 and 12, are “… wreaking havoc with the Washington Capitals’ playoff schedule.”

This simply is false. We were specific when scheduling this concert that both dates could be altered to accommodate the NHL playoffs.

The Capitals and Rangers are playing Game 1 on Thursday and Game 2 at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday because national TV and the NHL deemed that important. Period.
