Amazing Defensive Resurgence

Here is a Sports Illustrated story on the Wizards and their elite status in the defensive category in the NBA.

It credits Nene and Okafor for the lion share of the team's improvement. Okafor is having an All Star caliber season now, playing great defense, scoring consistently and being our best rebounder.  He is a double-double machine. Nene plays a fantastic all-around game, and he is the player that our offense runs through. Trevor Ariza is also a very strong defender; he is long, plays determined defense, and makes lots of steals and deflections.

All three players came to us via trades and have contributed very much to our identity as a team that is hard to play against, and is an elite defensive team.  With a healthy John Wall, AJ Price back in the lineup, and rookie guard Bradley Beal also focused on defense, the team as a unit is one of the best in the league now in shutting the other team down.
