On International Women’s Day, I celebrate women’s contributions to the world of sports and recognize the many achievements of women athletes and those women in sports who are making an impact behind the scenes. Throughout the years, I’ve always been an advocate for promoting women in sports and have championed putting women in the forefront of sports and business – whether it’s on the basketball court, in the boardroom or on the front lines of my teams and organizations. From the Mystics’ Kristi Toliver joining the Wizards as an assistant and becoming the team’s first female coach, to the recent launch of our Women’s Development Initiative, Monumental Sports is committed to developing an inclusive environment where women are supported and empowered to lead, grow and impact positive change within our communities and beyond. Our company is stronger, more innovative and more efficient when women are at the table helping drive our decision-making. Today, I salute all the amazing women who are forging new opportunities and paving the way for other women and girls across all sports not just today, but every day!
