Quick Response Goals; 22 of Them In 41 Games

This is the biggest cause of our issues so far this season.

We have 46 points in 41 games played - half the season is now in the books. We are on a 92 point pace. We would be much better situated if we hadn't allowed 22 goals to be scored against us within 2.5 minutes of us scoring a goal. See this article, and last night's second period barrage of response goals was irresponsible of us as a team. And it costs us a point in the end.

We remain the second highest scoring team in the East but our goals against is much too high to date.

We are in the 6th spot in the East, but teams are so bunched up in terms of standings points it doesn't matter. There is half of the season left to play.

We now head out  on a rough schedule of games, mostly on the road. This is a key stretch for us and it is concerning that we haven't been as productive in generating standings points in front of our fans at Verizon Center.
