If you look at the standings in the NHL; the Capitals are 2nd in the division, 3 points out of first place, and 7th in the conference.

We have established early on this season that we have a very good power play - number 1 in NHL, and a very good penalty kill, number 2 in NHL.

Surprisingly - of the 8 top teams in the East - we have scored the most goals for; and not surprisingly - we have let in the most goals against. It doesn't feel like we are the number 1 goal scoring team of the top 8 in the East does it?

We play tonight at home after a very tiring weekend away out West; the team arrived quite early Monday morning; and today has to prepare to play a division rival in front of our home crowd.
